For over 50 years, Eagan’s July 4th Funfest has been celebrating freedom and fun by featuring fantastic food, exceptional entertainment, a carnival for the kids, an exciting Ambassadors coronation, one of the largest parades in the Twin Cities, and of course an amazing array of fireworks. We look forward to celebrating our Nation’s independence with a full lineup of Funfest activities and events this year!

Eagan’s July 4th Funfest has been occurring annually for over 50 years. Beginning as a small group of children riding around town on decorated bicycles, the event has grown into a two day event with live bands, rides, lots of food, a parade, and a fireworks show that attracts more that 100,000.

DAILY SAILS: Sails will be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The rate is $60/passenger. SUNSET SAILS: Sunset sails are approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The rate is $65/passenger. Departure times vary based on date of reservation and sunset time.
Reservations can be made online up to one hour before the scheduled sail. Beyond that, call North House for availability. Per Coast Guard regulations, we can accommodate up to 6 guests per sail. Regardless of age (2 months old to 102 years old), each passenger counts towards our 6 guest limit, and therefore must be registered.

On June 27, 1977, heiress Elisabeth Congdon was found dead in her bedroom in the Glensheen mansion, smothered with a silk pillow. Outside her room, the night nurse, Velma Pietila had been violently beaten to death with a candlestick by an intruder. Marjorie Caldwell, one of Elisabeth’s adopted daughter’s husband, Roger Caldwell, was arrested for the murder and sentenced to prison. What would follow, would become the most talked about murder case in the history of Minnesota. Many books have been written about this event, and the play deals accurately with the history – but more than a book or a newspaper account, Glensheen: The Musical explores human behavior, comments on law enforcement and the justice system, while recognizing that two human lives were taken on the summer night in 1977.
