Today, we’re celebrating the grand opening of the newest segment of the Gitchi-Gami State Trail from Grand Marais to the Cut Face Creek State Wayside Rest!
This new 4.5-mile segment of paved trail includes a beautiful timber-arched bridge at the Fall River. It’s the perfect spot to stop along the trail and take in one of the many scenic views of Lake Superior. So far, over 30 miles of the 89-mile Gitchi-Gami State Trail are completed. Future completion will allow non-motorized travel from Two Harbors to Grand Marais. When will you walk, bike, or roll on this new segment?
