OUR ART
Handcrafted wood mosaics to warm any home: It all starts with the wood. We find lumber with a legacy, a story buried in the grain. Then, we cut, design and assemble our pieces to tell that story through pattern, texture and color.
Once fueled cars, now fuels art: We’ve transformed and revitalized a 1930s-era gas station nestled in the historic Spirit Valley neighborhood of West Duluth into a warm, comforting place where you can browse, buy and even bunk.
Creative artist, structured stud = one crafty duo: I discovered I really loved making things in 2014. This was about the same time I discovered the things I loved making were things people wanted to buy. I started with furniture, but it was the mosaic wall art that I made from the scraps of my furniture projects that really took off, quickly becoming a full-time business for me and my husband, Nathanael.
Now, we’ve expanded our team to ten (not including our two shop dogs), and we’ve been able to build a life around providing warmth, comfort and inspiration for others.
Yes, we’re big dreamers. Yes, we’re risk takers. But we’re not chasing money. Success, to us, is a life spent loving what we do. It’s in creating a gathering place for our community at our shop. And it’s in bringing calm and simplicity to every life we can.
Summer Ahead at the Walker: Injecting a contemporary reckoning—hopefulness and hopelessness, joy and loss—into a clarion call of creative music now, the concert features a bandleader unafraid to pull from the vast history of American jazz, improvisation, and experimental music. Progressive composer jaimie branch, whether soft and pleading or brash and seething as she sounds her trumpet or her voice, helms her quartet (Chad Taylor drums, Jason Ajemian bass, and Lester St. Louis cello) with unflinching conviction. Her last two releases wowed fans and critics alike with her FLY or DIE II: Bird Dogs of Paradise scoring a top 10 spot in NPR’s 2019 records of the year.

Fireworks Eagan’s fantastic fireworks tradition continues as one of the largest displays in the region will be illuminating the skies beginning at dusk on July 4. Higher altitude shells will be used this year allowing for the fireworks to be viewed from further away. For additional details and an optimal viewing map, please click here!

Kids Bike Parade
Decorate a bike and help kick off Funfest with our annual Kid’s Bike Parade on Saturday, July 3! All ages are welcome. Arrive early to touch up those decorations and line up! The parade start time is 3 pm in front of the Eagan Rotary Band Shell. The parade will follow the path behind the band shell around the pond and end as the kids make the full loop. Make your bike standout. Our Funfest Ambassadors will be on hand to help out. Crafts and treats will also be available!

History
Eagan’s July 4th Funfest has been occurring annually for over 50 years. Beginning as a small group of children riding around town on decorated bicycles, the event has grown into a two day event with live bands, rides, lots of food, a parade, and a fireworks show that attracts more that 100,000.
Refinery29: Sweatpants and a hoodie might have been the quintessential lockdown look, but with the warm weather out in full force — and reason to hope for some semblance of normality on the horizon — it’s clear that we’re all in need of an easy outfit upgrade. Though we might not be battling sweltering train rides as much as usual this spring and summer, the change in temperature still calls for a style overhaul, which sadly means putting the heavier joggers to the back of the closet for another year.
