Time to celebrate!

New Public Art on the Greenway! Several new sculptures by local artists Maria Cristina (Tina) and Xavier Tavera have been installed on the “Green Crescent” bike-ped ramp from the 35W Transit Center at Lake Street to the Greenway.  Along with the Lake Street Council, the Midtown Greenway Coalition strongly advocated for better lighting and art at the 35W Lake Street Transit Center and the new Bike Ramp to the Greenway. We are pleased to have succeeded! Time to celebrate!

The City of Minneapolis is hosting a celebration for Strength in Unity, an artwork by Maria Cristina (Tina) and Xavier Tavera, at the Green Crescent, a new bike and pedestrian thoroughfare connecting Lake Street and the Midtown Greenway. This project was done in collaboration with MnDOT as part of the 35@94: Downtown to Crosstown construction project.

Fall pumpkin season begins late September and goes through the end of October.  We have mini pumpkins, pie pumpkins, and pumpkins perfect for carving of all shapes, sizes, textures and colors!  We also have gourds, several varieties of squash, sweet corn and many more fall favorites!

Our retail store is filled with frozen unbaked pies and crisps, jams, fresh local honey, baking supplies, gifts and much more!  Inside our retail store is our Cafe’ ala Apple that serves up fresh apple cider, donuts, fritters, hot dogs, cider brats, blended frappes, and other fall time favorites.  Our strawberry shakes are amazing!

Full Harvest Moon

Join us for a special, after-hours experience to celebrate the September Full Moon. Explore the Arboretum’s trails under the light of the harvest moon, including Wood Duck Trail, which will be lit with tealights for all to enjoy.

Swing by the Margot Picnic Shelters to learn about seed saving from Master Gardener Volunteers and the Seed Savers Exchange. The Andersen Horticultural Library will also have a table featuring seed catalogs and seed display boxes.

Enjoy the evening to the fullest by bringing a lawn chair to listen to music by The Ladies Music Club and close out the night with lawn games.
