Jena Holliday: Her work is heavily influenced by her culture, her upbringing as a young black girl in Minnesota and the affirmations her parents instilled in her to dream big, hope and create the life she wanted to see. She is inspired by the diversity of women in the world, the stories they each hold and the beauty their differences present. “My art shares the power we have together. To be able to partner and share the importance of the work I create in the W Minneapolis, a brand that highlights and supports local entrepreneurs feels impactful, exciting and fresh. I am honored to be the first artist in residence”, Jena’s work will be on display starting March 16th.
