‘Inspired by the little things’…small batch basement pottery from Duluth, MN
Sometimes a project comes up out of the blue – this was a fun one for @ursa_minor_brewing upcoming hill climb & trail race! I might have to start making steins more often!

About
My name is Chelsey Wingness, born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota. Growing up, I spent countless hours in the woods, exploring & unknowingly rooting myself with nature. My intentions are to bring nature into everyday lives. As we progress into our modern world I find it even more important to connect with the earth. What better way than through an object of everyday use?
Pottery & I collided while I was working on my AFA at Lake Superior College. I’ve always been a creative person, but the medium of clay took over any other art form I happened to be working with. I am happiest while forming the clay, structurally, my pieces are more sculpture like with intentional glazing. I want my pieces to strike joy in those who use them.
I am beyond grateful for the support I was given as a child from my parents. My creativity was encouraged to be itself from the beginning & I plan to follow though with it until the end.
