What is Winterfest?
The fifth annual Winterfest is a community-wide celebration for all things winter and Stillwater, January 14th – 18th. The mission of Stillwater Winterfest is to engage the Stillwater area community in a vast array of events and opportunities in the mid-winter season that enhance local business revenue and community atmosphere. Winter Games activities this year are to include: Opening Ceremonies, Frozen Flannel Curling Tournament and Bonspiel, Burning of The Greens, Human Endurance Race The Lily Lake Looper, Snow Sculpture Contest, Shop Local, Parka Pub Crawl, Snow Mini-Hockey Golf, Stillwater’s Got Talent Show, Steinholding, Hammerschlagen, Winter 0.5k Run, Urban Adventure Trail Race, Bloody Mary Bar, Live Music, Closing Ceremonies and more!
Classic events such as the in-person talent show, casserole cook off, and bingo brunch, will be postponed until 2022.
Event-goers are incentivized to compete in fun activities, local shopping, live entertainment and a pub & restaurant crawl amongst the camaraderie of the greater Stillwater community. Most events will be free of charge to participate with the help of amazing sponsors.
Winterfest 2020 will showcase BOTH “Shop Local” AND “Activities” punch cards redeemable for over $1000 in cash and prizes at the closing ceremonies brunch.

Wintertime in Stillwater is a locally organized effort to stimulate the Stillwater economy and help support businesses. Our intent, with organizing local and safe outdoor events, is to create an atmosphere that makes Stillwater as fun to visit in the Winter as it does in the Summer. Many residents have graciously asked how they can help support a thriving downtown. This is one way to work together as a community to support each other, celebrate winter, and to brighten up this season.
