Shop My Closet will offer a distinctive twist on shopping for vintage clothing.

Shop My Closet, a resale and consignment boutique, will open its doors inside the Seven Points Mall at Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis.

The concept is a little different than the typical vintage clothing hub. Founder Marsha Magdalene will rent “closets” where resellers can place curated collections of accessories and clothing. Additionally, sellers are able to control their pricing and curation of what goes into the closet.

New closets will pop up each week, building an “ever-evolving experience that centers community, creativity, and conscious consumerism,” per the announcement.

“We are incredibly excited to bring Shop My Closet to Minneapolis and to be a part of Uptown’s resurgence,” Magdalene says in a statement. “Our vision is to create a vibrant community hub where shoppers can discover amazing, one-of-a-kind finds while supporting local entrepreneurs and promoting sustainable fashion practices. Every week brings a fresh selection of styles, from vintage gems to modern statement pieces, making each visit an exciting experience.”

The clothing shop hopes to offer shoppers an evolving and distinctive vintage shopping experience, while sellers benefit from the staffing, marketing, and operations the store provides.
