A six-string slant featuring a lineup of Minnesota heroes, national and beyond artists, community strums and gear swaps, improvisers, and expos from some of Minnesota’s finest small arts businesses.
The 2024 lineup features Minnesota greats like Alan Sparhawk (Low), bassist Yohannes Tona (Cory Wong), surf rockers The Black Widows, Molly Dean and improviser Paul Metzger along with some especially intriguing touring names to keep an eye on. Saturday on the Promenade Stage – presented by Baird Financial Jandric Antkowiak Group – composer and creative music legend Jamaaladeen Tacuma comes in from Philly for a trio set and emerging country-blues songwriter Nicky Diamonds comes in from Texas playing tunes off his newest “Perdido en la Salsa” record. Guitarist Ava Mendoza will perform a solo set and join Jamaaladeen Tacuma on Saturday to close out the afternoon’s music before Minnesota’s The Last Waltz takes over the Promenade for their annual summer show on the lake.
